Dental Implants

If keeping your natural tooth is no longer an option, a dental implant is the next best thing.

An implant acts as the natural root, supporting a crown, bridge or even dentures.

Dental implants do more than restore your smile; they are an investment in your health, preventing bone loss, shifting teeth, gum disease, and more.

At our offices in Montreal, we place dental implants using traditional methods and as well using 3D virtual guide technology that minimizes the surgical requirements, and simultaneously optimizes esthetics and healing time.

Impacted Tooth Removal

Dental extractions are performed for a variety of reasons, including tooth decay, injury, infection, and for orthodontic treatment.

There are two forms of tooth extraction: Surgical and Simple.

The type you need will depend on if the tooth has erupted out of the gum tissue or if it is still below the gum-line. Teeth which have erupted are removed using the Simple technique. Those that remain below the gum-line are removed Surgically.

Anesthesia is used to numb the area and prevent discomfort during the procedure.

Periodontics

Periodontal or gum treatment is needed when the tissues surrounding and supporting the teeth are affected.

Gingivitis is usually the beginning sign of gum disease. Left untreated, gingivitis can progress to periodontitis and is the leading reason for tooth loss in adults.

Common signs of periodontitis are bleeding gums and bad breath.

Often gum disease goes unnoticed and the longer you wait to receive treatment the worse the gums become. Eventually teeth can become loose and are prone to abscess, at which point, it may be too late to save them.

At Dentaire Turner, we use a combination of treatments to cure the condition based on your situation.

These involve medications, oral hygiene tools, restorations/splints, deep cleaning and surgical treatments.
