Our story

Established in 1974. Dentaire Turner first opened its doors in Pointe-Claire, in the West Island of Montreal.

With over 65 years of combined experience, Dr. Yazdi Turner and his son, Dr. Zain Turner have cultivated a fun, warm and professional environment for patients and staff alike.

Over the years, Dentaire Turner has welcomed talented, like-minded professionals to the team that continue to provide top-quality dental services to the West Island and Montreal community while holding Dentaire Turner’s central core values, mission and vision in mind.

Our founders

Dr. Yazdi Turner, DDS

As a Dentistry graduate from the University of Bombay (class of 1969), Dr. Yazdi Turner immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1971. He earned his DDS from McGill University in 1974, a full two years ahead of his cohort and with advanced standing. From 1997 to 2003, he returned to his alma mater as a professor in McGill’s Prosthodontics department.

With 50 years of dental experience under his belt, Dr. Turner has an impeccable record of delivering gold-standard patient care and outstanding dental solutions. He is a proud member of various industry organizations, including the ACDQ, CDA, and Montreal Dental Club. He is also affiliated with the National Institute of Health, with a special focus on oral cancer.

Dr. Zain Turner, DMD

Born and raised in Montreal’s West Island, Dr. Zain Turner now serves his community as a dental professional. He graduated from McGill University’s esteemed Dentistry program in 2003 after completing Premed, joining his father’s practice and helping expand the business year after year – including the opening of a second facility in Pointe-Claire in 2018.

Dr. Zain is a member of ACDQ, CDA, and an ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists) fellow.

Dr. Rochelle Flanagan

Dr. Rochelle Flanagan graduated from McGill University in 2019 then furthered her studies by completing a year of residency at the Jewish General Hospital. She now works in private practice and is proud to offer a wide variety of services with a particular interest in surgery.

Dr. Alexa Lynch

Dr. Alexa Lynch graduated from the University of Montreal in 2018 with a degree in dental medicine. After which, Dr. Lynch pursued her passion as a general dentist in private practice. Dr. Lynch prides herself on providing superior personalized care to her patients of all ages. She is known her attention to detail & her calm, reassuring demeanor.

Dr. Nail Dia

Dr. Nail Dia began his studies in dentistry at the Univ. of Mtl., graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2015. Subsequently, Dr. Dia began a residency at the Mtl General. In 2016, he joined the Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Univ. of Michigan. He practiced in all fields of surgery, giving Dr. Dia a passion for oral surgery & implantology. Dr. Dia brings an honest approach, his mission is to make you happy.

Dr. Rachel Lin

Originally from Toronto, Dr. Rachel Lin moved to Montreal in 2011 to study at McGill University. She completed her B.Sc. in 2015, followed by her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2019. Since then, she has been a part of the team at Dentaire Turner. She especially enjoys working with elderly patients & children. Maybe you can spot Dr. Lin around town as she now calls Pointe-Claire & West Island her home!

Dr. Catherine Long

Dr. Catherine Long graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2020. Subsequently, she moved to Quebec to pursue a general residency program at the Montreal General Hospital. Dr. Long enjoys practicing all aspects of dentistry. Her goal is to make patients smile and feel comfortable in the dental chair.

Dr. Nizar Rifai

Originally from Lebanon, Dr. Rifai obtained his D.D.S. in 2015. The following year, Dr. Rifai moved to Canada and in 2018, successfully completed the N.D.E. Board of Canada at the Univ. of Western Ontario and has since been working in private practice. Dr. Rifai is skilled in all aspects of General Dentistry with a particular interest in Endodontics. With his calm and reassuring demeanor, Dr. Rifai aims to partner with his patients to deliver the highest standards of personalized care.
